Meet the Principal

Dear Pleasant Lake Families & Community,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Pleasant Lake Elementary. As I step into this role, I am eager to work collaboratively with all members of our school community to continue fostering a positive, joyful, and enriching learning environment for both our students, families, and staff. I am committed to building upon the strong foundations and traditions that make Pleasant Lake such a special place.

I join you as a former upper elementary classroom teacher, behavior and reading specialist/coach, and most recently as an elementary principal for the past nine years. I believe deeply in the importance of being a lifelong learner, as we can always grow, reflect, and evolve together. I am also a proud wife to my husband, Tadd, and a mom to Grant, who is thirteen years old and has special needs. You can count on seeing them at school events as they become honorary Sharks.

The values that guide me—joy, making a difference, and collaboration—shape my decisions and actions each day. My goal this year is to get to know our community and to celebrate the power of synergy and teamwork, as I firmly believe we are better together. The strong, positive relationships we will build are the foundation of making our school a place where everyone can thrive and flourish. It is truly my honor to serve Pleasant Lake, and I am humbled to support and nurture the students, families, and staff that make this community so vibrant.

I am eager to meet each of you as we prepare for the upcoming school year. Your input and involvement are invaluable as we work toward our shared goals and I look forward to celebrating our collective successes as we learn and grow in the year ahead.
