Walled Lake Television’s Advanced Media students soaked in a day full of learning and enjoyed a behind the scenes look at Ford Field on a trip to the 2025 Great Lakes Broadcast and Sports Media Academy.

Students had the opportunity to meet Detroit media professionals and learn about careers in broadcasting, as well as network with other high school and college media programs from across the state of Michigan. They even got to practice reading from Channel 4’s teleprompter, try a weathercast at the green screen and be a part of LTU Live’s podcast.

Once the career sessions wrapped up, students enjoyed an all access tour of the home of the Detroit Lions. They visited the locker rooms, press conference room, and got to walk down the tunnel and out on the turf at Ford Field.
